Explore our latest bathroom remodel in Sinking Spring, PA, where we transform an outdated bathroom into a sleek, modern sanctuary. Join us as we walk you through each step of creating a luxurious bathroom retreat designed to offer both style and functionality.
Demolition
The demo began with safely capping the plumbing before removing the old tub, toilet, vanity, and existing shower walls. We then removed all flooring tiles and prepped for the new flooring going in. Part of the wall between the shower and tub was removed to make space for the new design for the shower.
Framing and drywall
To start off our team patched the areas in the floor that were previously removed for the plumbing adjustments. We then began framing for the new standing shower. First we constructed the curb and then, per the customer's request, a small bench. Lastly, we installed and spackled moisture resistant drywall on al necessary areas.
Plumbing
We expanded the plumbing system by adding water and drain lines for an additional sink and reconfigured the existing plumbing to support a new freestanding tub. In this remodel, we installed the tub along with its faucets, a 60-inch vanity, new faucets for the sink, a toilet, and a new shower operator. All plumbing installations were carefully completed, ensuring that every connection was secure and functioning properly. The bathroom fixtures were supplied by Weinstein - Reading.
Electrical
Electrical updates included replacing the vent fan and adding two LED recessed lights over the tub and shower. We also prepared the electrical setup for a second vanity light, installed new switches, two dual outlets, and two new vanity lights, increasing the functionality and ambiance of the bathroom.
Tiling and FLOORING
We applied a waterproof membrane to the shower walls to ensure durability and moisture resistance. Following this, we installed tiles on the shower floor and walls, incorporating the small bench, and three corner shelves to add space for toiletries. To complete the look, luxury vinyl plank flooring was laid down, strengthening the bathroom's overall aesthetic.
Finish Carpentry
Here the the walls, ceiling, and trim were all prepped and painted. We installed all the trim throughout the bathroom and did any necessary touch ups. We also hung a new mirror, towel bars, and toilet paper holder, and finished with a custom shower glass template and installation.
This remodel not only increased the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the space but also added significant value to the home, providing a serene and stylish bathroom environment.
